Forum: web Subject: Pages being wiped from archive when thet should

You used to have an archive for

http://web.archive.org/web/20071108105654/http://www.vinylvulture.co.uk/pages/lounge2e.htm

but now you don't. It seems that ownership of the domain name lapsed and has been snapped up by a third party who have put a "domain for sale" junk page in place at www.vinylvulture.co.uk, and they have a no-archive directive in their new robot file.

I don't think it makes sense for the archive of a site to be deleted by someone who just happens to have acquired the url at a later date but has no ownership or claim to the old content - in the long run that would negate the usefulness of the archive.

Is it possible to reinstate the archives for this site.

Thanks
